Party Overboard!

Published on January 11th, 2012

Have you ever hosted a little get-together that has “gone overboard”?

Hopefully it was nothing like this:

Sarah Ruscoe (18th Birthday, UK)

Sarah had invited around 300 people to her parents 20 acre, 21 bedroom manor house for her 18th birthday. The party was intended to be one of those super cool gatherings that ‘everyone talks about for the next year’. After a heavily intoxicated party goer decided to call up BBC Radio 1, Pete Tong went on to announce the party live on air to thousands and thousands of listeners. The resultant effect was over 1000 gatecrashes in a mere hour, with the house eventually being completely trashed. After mirrors were smashed, furniture was tossed around and everything with a ‘right way up’ was turned over, the mother of Sarah Ruscoe threatened to sue BBC Broadcasting for costing them tens of thousands of pounds in damage.

Or how about the classic, “Party Boy” event in Melbourne, 2008…

Stay safe, and keep those numbers and noise down! ;)
